Questions from the Personal Information category are listed below. Some questions won't appear in the Estimate Stage and you will only need to answer them during the Application Stage. 

Marital Status

Please select your marital status from the drop-down menu. The options include:

- Single (select this option if you are not legally married or in a civil partnership)
- Married
- Civil Partnership
- Separated
- Divorced 
- Widowed

Are both of your Parent Deceased?

Select 'Yes' only if both of your parents have passed away. 

Are you estranged from your parents?

Select 'Yes' only if you are estranged from both parents.

Have you supported yourself with your earnings for an aggregate total of 36 months?

If you have supported yourself for a total of 36 months or more, with your earnings, please select yes. 

Do you have care of a Child or Children under 19 Years of Age?

Answer yes if the child/children are under the age of 19. Please note that to apply for the Dependants Allowance for a child/children you must select that they will be wholly or mainly financially dependent on you.

Are you cohabiting?

(Not applicable if married or in a civil partnership.)

If you are cohabiting, you need to enter your partner's name. 

If both of your parents are not deceased, if you are not estranged from your parents, if you haven't supported yourself for 36 months and if you do not have children under the age of 19, you will be asked for your parents' name. 

Evidence

You will be required to upload your Birth Certificate and a form of Photo ID. Either a  Passport or a Driving License will be an acceptable form of Photo ID. 

If you are married or in a civil partnership you will need to upload your marriage certificate. 

If your are divorced, you need to upload a Divorce decree nisi. 

If you are separated or widowed, you will need to upload Evidence of your independent status.
